Senior Art Director
Looking for a Senior Art Director with sharp creative judgement and a hands-on mindset. You lead ideas from concept to execution, shaping visual worlds across digital, social and physical experience.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re looking for a Senior Art Director with strong creative judgement, sharp taste and a hands-on mindset to raise the quality of our work.
You lead ideas from concept to execution, shaping visual languages that connect brand, product and story across social, digital and physical experiences – and earned media. We do film (and yes, sometimes print), but as a next-gen creative agency, this is where we focus.
You’re conceptually strong, visually precise, and involved in the making. You work closely with creatives, strategists, communications specialists and clients to turn ideas into work that feels distinctive, relevant and strategically sound.
This role is about raising the bar, inspiring others through what you make, and leaving everything you touch better than you found it.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
CREATIVE LEADERSHIP & CRAFT
Develop strong ideas and visual concepts in close collaboration with creatives and client teams.
Turn concepts into clear visual systems, storytelling and assets across channels.
Lead visual execution from early thinking to final delivery.
Make high-quality work yourself, while guiding and reviewing others to ensure consistency and craft.
Direct creative across digital, social, video and print with a clear, elevated point of view.
Use AI actively throughout the creative process, from concept exploration and visual development to production, iteration and optimisation.
Contribute to new business with strong conceptual and visual thinking.
COLLABORATION
Work closely with project management to deliver on time without compromising the idea.
Collaborate naturally with creatives, strategists, producers and external partners.
Present ideas clearly and confidently to internal teams and clients.
Mentor and support colleagues by sharing craft, perspective and ways of working.
CREATIVE CULTURE
Set a high creative bar through storytelling, curiosity and attention to detail.
Contribute to a respectful, collaborative environment where ideas get better through work.
Stay plugged into culture, design, branding, media and emerging creative technologies and know how to turn that into relevant, usable creative opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING
CREATIVE CRAFT
5+ years’ experience as an Art Director (agency, freelance or client-side).
Strong conceptual ability and a proven talent for turning ideas into distinctive visual expressions.
Excellent visual skills and a refined aesthetic sensibility.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (After Effects and video tools are a plus).
Confident, hands-on use of AI tools as part of your creative workflow – not as a shortcut, but as a way to think broader, move faster and push ideas further.
Strong understanding of when and how AI adds value, and when traditional craft and judgement matter more.
Experience developing and executing visual concepts across multiple channels.
A solid understanding of brands and branding, with the ability to think holistically.
A portfolio showing high-quality work in digital environments; motion and video are a bonus.
WAYS OF WORKING
Clear communicator with strong presentation skills.
Comfortable juggling multiple projects of different types and scales.
Confident in client-facing situations.
Structured and solution-oriented, without losing creative integrity.
Curious, adaptable and actively engaged with the creative industry and its evolving tools and practices.
Willing to challenge existing processes and push for smarter, more efficient creative production – including through AI.
Fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English.
